Facebook Marketing Secrets
Reading Time: 4 minutes

Facebook Marketing Secrets will be revealed in this blog post. Do you have “market on Facebook” penciled in on your calendar, but never do it because you're just not sure what to do? If so, you're in the right place. This article is full of tips to help you launch your marketing campaign successfully so that you can attract the most customers in exchange for your time.

Facebook Marketing Secrets: Your Profile

Take the time to fill out your Facebook profile with useful information and more details about your brand. Add a link to your website and write a brief description of your brand or products. Use a visitor counter to get an idea of how many visitors follow this link to access your homepage. One of the Facebook Marketing Secrets is that you really know how effective your campaign is.

If you're using Facebook to market, make sure you're also posting there! No one will visit a page that rarely ever has updated content on it. Don't overwhelm your followers, but be sure to post at least once per weekday so that people will often check back just to see what's going on. It could be more than once per day but you have to be consistent.

Facebook Marketing Secrets: Ask For Sharing

Reach out to the friends of your subscribers by encouraging them to share your content. You could for instance ask subscribers to share your updates to receive a coupon code or focus on sharing entertaining content your subscribers will want to send to their friends. Keep track of which strategies work best.

Change the tab order on your Facebook business page. The tabs will be in vertical order on the left of the page to start with. Under your list of tabs is the “Edit” option. Use this to customize the order of the tabs outside of the Info and Wall tabs. This can help you create a better hierarchy of which tabs should be near the top or the bottom in order to have some stand out more than others. Make sure that the most important tab is on the top line.

When thinking of information to share with your followers on Facebook, try to keep them relevant to what is going on with your business or industry. If your company sells auto parts, you should make posts about auto parts. Posting photos of cats or other irrelevant topics will ensure that people unfollow your page. Always think about what you want to see from a page you follow and apply it to your page.

If you do not have time in the day to maintain a Facebook page, you should get someone else to do it. People will notice if your messages become too brief and start to lack substance. It is perfectly acceptable to have someone else run the page while you work on other aspects of the business. Think like a company with employees. The boss of the company doesn't do everything by himself. The employees are there to do certain tasks and you have to think like you are the boss of a bigger company.

Facebook Marketing Secrets: Contests

Put together a Facebook contest. People love fun things like contests and quizzes on Facebook. It's one of the things that makes the social media site so very special. It's not that hard for your company or brand to put together a contest, and it can really open up the engagement level of your community.

Use tools to measure the power of your Facebook marketing. There are all sorts of tools out there these days to help give you an idea of how potent your Facebook marketing is. You could take a look at something like Sprout Social as a paid service or simply check out your Klout score to see if your efforts seem to be moving the needle.

You don't want to be sharing updates that are not actually related to your own content. You might feel tempted to share personal updates or share some current events, but remember that these may not interest all the subscribers. Create a personal Facebook page on which to post other information. On the other hand, people want to know who is behind a page. When you have personal things that are related to your business then share them.

Get out that calendar and pencil in the tips we just went over together. Since you have some specific things to do, you just need to start doing them. Do one of these actions every time you turn on your computer and soon you'll have more customers than you know what to do with. When you apply these Facebook Marketing Secrets then you will see results.

Excellent stuff again Bruno. This is good for those who are looking to get into the “beast” that is Facebook. So many people to market to and so much opportunity when done correctly.

I’m glad there are people out there who can help me make sense of all the social media – I’m pretty new to it for my business, and it’s a bit overwhelming. Thanks for breaking it down for us.

      • Bruno Buergi

      Some great tips there Bruno,
I think consistency is the key but also really hard – there are some great automating tools to help but I am still undecided if I like them or not.

      • Bruno Buergi

Automated tools can be a great help. Nevertheless you have to plan your actions.

    • Helen Willsher

Helpful information here Bruno. We all know consistency is the key, but how many practice it?

I enjoyed reading this article. So often people when they decide to join an online business will just spam their links and not take the time to really craft your FB Profile and Fan Page. Facebook is all about branding yourself. If you take the time to brand yourself you will never have to sell anything. People will come to you 🙂

      • Bruno Buergi

Thank you Lisa for your comment. Many people are not willing to learn the right skills to market their business.

    • Sonia

Very well written with valuable info. Thank you 🙂
