Goal setting is a great way to get clarity and to move faster toward your goals and dreams. I use it on a regular basis and it helps me to achieve them in a better and shorter way thought possible.

Yesterday I was on a hiking tour with my wife. Usually I take a book with me and when we make a break I read a little bit. The book I took with me yesterday is from Jack Canfield “How to get from where you are to where you want to be”. In one chapter he writes about goal setting. I want to share with you one method he describes which I use for me too.


The Importance for Goal Setting

First I want to talk a bit about the “why” we should use a goal setting process. Your unconscious mind needs direction to help you when you want to achieve something. It’s like a search engine. When you put in nothing, nothing comes out. But when you give direction to your subconscious it will help you to find the right solution for you like the search engine gives you the results when you type in something specific.

When your subconscious mind has your instructions the reticular activating system and your internal filters can provide you with the right information to achieve your goal. It’s like when you drive along a street in the night, your floodlight in your car shows you exact the area around you that is important to drive towards your destination.


The Goal Setting Process

What I tell you now is a very easy goal setting process. First of all, make a list of goals you want to achieve. Thereafter reread your goals again and think about if these goals are really important for you. Make sure they are your goals and not someone else goals. It must resonate with you otherwise your subconscious mind want support you enough.

When you have done it, then write each important goal on a 3 to 5 card. And now it comes to key step in the process. After your goal setting is achieved it’s important to activate them. One of the best way is to read your goals at least 2 to 3 times a day. The best times are when you awake in the morning and in the evening when you go to bed. At these times your brain waves are usually slower and therefore you have a better access to your subconscious mind.

      Hi Bruno, great information on setting goals and keeping them in focus. I bought a brightly coloured notebook to write my goals in and then added in some pictures too. Looking through the goals with the pictures seems to make them more real for me.

      Set goals to power up your attractive magnet. Set a bulls-eye. Aim at a target.

      Attract ideas, people and circumstances to make your dreams manifest. You attract it all.

      Clearly state Why you desire to achieve a goal. The Why is the fuel, the creative driver, which pushes you forward through intense resistance.

      Keep the fuel handy by affirming your goals in the present tense and using a vision board to keep the dream in consciousness.

      Goal is not easy to achieve, you need to have inspiration and determination in order to achieve it. I think that the easy goal process can be a good way to start-up your success.
