Article Marketing Strategy
Reading Time: 3 minutes

A successful article marketing strategy requires that you create a successful campaign. With the latest Google algorithm updates, you have to focus on quality and not only quantity. Of course, it is  great when you share your content as much as possible throughout the web. But you have to know that you need good quality content to share.

The quality of the content starts with the original article you want to share. Invest in a really good article. Whether you write it by yourself or you let other people write for you. Always keep in mind that it is about your readers and not about the search engines.

In your original article, you should also include links to another blog post on your site. So your readers discover another content you have written in the past, and it will also help you to get more engagement on your blog.

Although it is important that you implement certain SEO strategies into the original content so that the SERPs know about what your content is. But your article must be readable and not stuffed with keywords.

The Purpose Of The Article Marketing Strategy

The purpose of your article marketing strategy is to spread your word as far as possible and reach as many people as possible. And at the same time get quality backlinks to your original article. You will get the best results when you share your articles in the top article directories. The reason is, they care about what you share on their site, and they do not allow every crap people write on their site. They usually review the articles manually. It’s also important the grammar of your article is correct. You can use tools like Grammarly to check your content.

Google trusts These top article directories and they will give you good backlinks to your site. Usually, you can add one or two links back to your homepage in the Bio of the article. In this way, you can increase your visits to your site and it also helps to rank on the search engine.

What you also need to know is that each article should be unique for each article directory. In the SEO world, most people talk about 30% uniqueness. But Google does not specify it exactly how unique your content must be. The more unique, the better it will be for you.

How To Create Unique Content For Your Article Marketing Strategy

To create many different articles and submit them to many sites is a lot of work. There are some tools out there that will help you to create and syndicate your content.

To create unique articles within a short time is to use spinning software. I use Spin Rewriter to do it. With such spin software, you rewrite your article with synonyms. In this way, you can create nearly unlimited versions of your article.

Spin Rewriter

When you submit your newly created article with your spin tool, you should always go through your article and edit when it is necessary before you submit it to the top article directories. In this way, you make sure that your article is correct and good to read.

To submit to many article directories and other sites you can also a tool. The one I use most is Magic Submitter. With this tool, you can use your spun article to submit your content on autopilot. In this way, you save a lot of time, and you get good backlinks to your page and which will help you to get more visitors to your blog.

I was under the impression that article directories were a bad move for SEO in 2014. Is that not the case?

      • Bruno Buergi

        Hi John,

Thanks for your comment. In some cases it was bad for your SEO after some Google updates. The reason was because so many people were spamming these article directories and some of the got a real bad reputation. But the one who do not approve all article and have a manual review of the content, like Ezinearticles are still valuable sources for getting backlinks and traffic to your site.

The key is unique content of high quality and then you get the most out of the article directories.

Wow, Bruno, you gave me some food for thought today. I never even knew anything like spinning software existed.

      • Bruno Buergi

Thanks Andrea. I learnt it a while ago from some of the heavy hitter SEO guys about spinning. It helps when you share content on different places. It is also good to spin content (intros to blog post) you share on social media.

I haven’t used article directories Bruno, but I can see how they would work if you used Spin Rewriter and Magic Submitter to help you create many variations of your articles

Thank you Jaye for visiting my blog and leaving a comment. I thing after the Google updates many people were not so sure what was going on with the article directories and some were hit heavy. But quality wins all the time.

      Hi Bruno,
Many thanks for that – I enjoy content writing more than the technical side! I was not aware of Spin Rewriter and Magic Submitter but I need to bring those on board – great information.

I wish to write blogs on two different subjects and refer each one to the other so that people will get to know another side of me!
      Any comments please?

      regards John

      • Bruno Buergi

Thank you John. When you want to write about 2 different subjects that have not a direct correlation with each other, I recommend to do it on two different blogs. And in the about section you can write a short intro about the other one with a link in it.

    • John Barton

      Thanks for your advice Bruno.
